Wedding programs come in three main formats. Every template in this collection is available in the format that fits your ceremony length and information needs:

• Single 5x7 card. The most common format and the easiest to print. Lists the essential ceremony order on one side, with optional content like a thank-you note or song lyrics on the back. Best for shorter ceremonies (under 30 minutes) and simple orders of events.
• Folded booklet. Folds in half from a flat 11x8.5 to a finished 5.5x8.5. The cover holds names, date, and venue. The inside spread holds the order of events on one panel and acknowledgments, readings, or wedding party on the other. The back can hold thank-you notes or song selections. Best for longer ceremonies, religious weddings, or weddings with multiple readings and traditions.
• Trifold. Folds twice into three panels for a finished 3.7x8.5. Lets you organize content into clearly separated sections (cover, order of events, wedding party + readings, thank-you). Best for religious weddings with extensive ceremony content.

All formats download as print-ready PDFs with proper bleed and margins for home printing or professional printing. Recommended cardstock weight is 80lb to 100lb in matte or smooth finish, slightly lighter than invitations because programs are meant to fold.

Who Wedding Programs Are For

Wedding programs are most common at religious ceremonies, traditional weddings, and ceremonies with multiple readings, songs, or cultural elements where guests benefit from understanding the order of events. They are less common at very short non-religious ceremonies (under 15 minutes) where the order is self-explanatory. If your ceremony has named bridesmaids and groomsmen, scripture or readings, multiple musical pieces, or any cultural or religious traditions you want to acknowledge, a program adds context and gives guests a keepsake from the day. When should I print wedding programs?

Print wedding programs 2 to 4 weeks before the wedding. This timing gives you a buffer for last-minute changes (a reader pulling out, a song change, a wedding party update) and avoids printing in the final week when other wedding tasks are urgent. Wait until you have your final wedding party list and final ceremony order from your officiant before printing. If you are working with a religious officiant, share a draft program with them 4 weeks before the wedding so they can confirm the order matches their planned service.

Can I print wedding programs at home?
